The Astra III Flying Model Rocket Starter Set combines the rugged Astra III Quick-Kit with a complete launch system. The launch equipment can be used to continue your model rocket adventure and fly the entire fleet of Quest model rockets.

The Astra III rocket is easy-to-assemble and features colored body tubes, plastic nose cone and molded plastic fin-can assembly, plus Kevlar/elastic shock cord system, quick-release motor mount, self-adhesive decals and 14 inch recovery parachute.
The Lift-Off Launch Pad has tilt adjustment, rocket stand-off, 36-inch two-piece launch rod, and a metal blast deflector. The Q2 Launch Controller features blinking LED arming lamp, beeping “armed” alarm, and launch key with safety flag. One 9-volt snap-top Lithium battery is required for the launch controller operation - Not Included.
This set includes three Q-Jet™ Black Max™ B4-4FJ composite propellant rocket motors, the world's most advanced 18mm x 70mm model rocket motors. They utilize a high-strength polymer case, ceramic nozzle, and Black Max™ solid composite propellant. Q-Jets generate a highly visible exhaust plume and delay smoke trail. Q-Jet™ rocket motors use the same family of solid composite propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle boosters, sounding rockets and military missiles. All Q-Jet™ motors ship with FirstFire Micro™ initiators for lift-off reliability, plus bright orange recovery wadding for three exciting flights.
Some assembly required and instructions for assembly and use included. You should be ready to launch in 30 to 45 minutes. Packaged in a sturdy reusable range operations box.
Recommended for ages 10 to adult. Direct adult supervision is suggested for those under 12 years of age when building or flying model rockets.
